Just finished a painting of a horse, a girl, and a man. Actually, the man is tightening the saddle for my niece, Danny. The title of the painting is TIGHTENING THE SADDLE.
I lived and attended public school in Holcomb, and Rochelle, Illinois. In the winter of 1962, I went to Navy bootcamp in San Diego, California. After 8 years of active duty, I moved to Omaha, Nebraska and spent 25 years as a police officer. During which time, I enlisted into the Navy and Coast Guard Reserves. Once I retired, I took a full time job as a School Security Officer with the Omaha Public Schools. I am a Vietnam Vet, stationed aboard the USS NEWELL (DER 322) during the war. I've attended several schools while in the Military, as well as Metropolitan Community College. My writing goes back twenty some years, and my other hobbies started fifty some years ago. I live in Omaha with my wife, Donna, and my 15year old son, Shane. I have another son, Dustin, who does not live at home. My daughter ,Laural, also lives in Omaha. I have two grandkids, Miranda and Mason.
